People understand that your physical health goes hand-in-hand with your spiritual, mental, and emotional health. We do a variety of things in order to actively align these different health aspects and one of the most popular ways of doing that is by practicing yoga. Yoga, simply put, is a series of physical poses, known as asanas, combined with mindfulness and various breathing techniques in order to elicit positive effects on your mind and body.
Some people will even go so far as to take or look into taking, a yoga-inspired trip in order to soothe their body, mind, and spirit. They will take trips to various places in order to practice their favorite type of yoga, partake in amazing physical activities, and immerse themselves in the soulful beauty and wonder of nature.
Different Types Of Yoga
Yoga was first practiced in India around 5,000 years ago and it was introduced to the Western world during the 19th century. The yoga that many of us are practicing or are seeing practiced originated during the Modern Yoga Renaissance and it is a blend of gymnastics and Hatha yoga. Despite what people may think, there are a number of different types of yoga that have developed over thousands of years.
Bikram Yoga - This type of yoga is commonly practiced in heated rooms or areas.
Vinyasa Yoga - Vinyasa is based on a flow of different postures with an emphasis on a link between specific breathing techniques and the movements of the body.
Ashtanga Yoga - This is a type of yoga that is based on a set regimen of poses that are meant to be repeated on a daily basis.
Hatha Yoga - This is the basis for the modern yoga that we know today. The premise of Hatha yoga is the stretching of the body by holding poses for extended periods of time.
These are just some of the different types of yoga, but the fundamental idea is all the same. The beauty of yoga is that it can be adjusted in order to suit the person and their particular needs. A great way to experience the benefits of yoga is by surrounding yourself with amazing landscapes around the world.
